On April 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Inglewood CRC, we will invite a panel to address the issue of the CRC Ministry in Canada: Beyond Frustration. In trying to remain a binational denomination, the Christian Reformed Church in North America has a long history of structuring and restructuring its ministries in Canada. But serious discontent remains on both sides of the border. As yet another proposal goes from the Council of Delegates to Synod 2022 in June, it’s anybody’s guess if we can make it work this time. We’ve asked a local panel of those well-acquainted with the issue to help us think this through. Pastor Bob will give us a thumbnail sketch of its history, Pastor Michelle Kool from Covenant CRC, who is very much involved in the present process, will give us the latest, and Pastor Harold Roscher from the Native Healing Center will give us the perspective of someone who is actually doing the work of Canadian Ministries on the ground.
