Day Camp

Faithwalk Day Camp!

Why Faithwalk Day Camp?

During this season of physical distancing, WECRC wanted to host an opportunity in which children can connect with one another, and be discipled in their relationship with Jesus Christ, in a safe environment. The ZOOM online platform has been wonderful, but can’t replace the joy and impact of being together “in person”.

Who can attend Faithwalk Day Camp?

Children currently ages 4 – Grade 3 who regularly attend Westend CRC, or family/friends who do not currently have a church home.

Children are invited to register for a maximum of ONE week of Day Camp as space is limited.  If you would like to register for our wait list, for any open spots, you may do so.

In compliance with Alberta Health, staff, volunteers, parents or guardians and children must not attend the program if they are sick, even if symptoms resemble a mild cold. Symptoms to look for include fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, nasal congestion, headache, and a general feeling of being unwell.

When?

Day Camps will take place from 9 am-11 am, Monday to Friday, June 22-26 and July 6-10.

What?

Each week we will host two cohorts (K/G1 and G2/G3) of 8 children with 2 leaders.  As per Alberta Health guidelines, the cohorts will not be allowed to mix The cohorts will not be allowed to mix, and will be required to use separate washroom facilities.

Check-in will open each morning at 8:50 am, (parents/guardians will be required to complete a health confirmation daily) followed by our morning hellos, prayer and story.  Then we’ll play some games, do some crafts, eat snack, engage in our daily Bible story and play some more games.  Pick up is at 11 am.

Faithwalk Day Camp will take place OUTDOORS in the church parking lot.  We will be setting up awnings to provide shade, and boundaries to keep the cohorts separate (as per Alberta Health Guidelines).
