Mission Support-Resonate Global. The way churches give to ministry has changed in recent years with congregations giving in such a way that they want to know where and how their gifts are used. Because of this “designated giving” trend, Resonate uses individualized budgets for our full-time mission staff. Current workers are partnered with churches and individuals to raise funds for their ministries. Budgets include salary, housing, home service housing and travel, medical insurance, and pension among other things. Our offering went to support equally the work of Christian worker Gary Timmerman in Russia and missionary Albert Strydhorst with the Timothy Leadership Training Program. In September we contributed $2271.39

Hope Mission is a not-for-profit Christian social care agency founded in Edmonton in 1929. They have two main arms of services, one is a preventative arm that aims to assist children, youth and their families and the second is a homelessness arm which aims to provide shelter, care, food, recovery and housing programs for those currently experiencing homelessness in Edmonton. This offering goes to support Hope Mission’s efforts to provide safe shelter for the homeless in Edmonton during the upcoming fall/winter season. This is especially needed this year given the additional resources required to provide safe shelter during the Covid-19 pandemic. hopemission.com  In September we contributed $5652.17

Safe Church Ministry. Abuse Awareness Sunday – September 27: Thank you so much for your ongoing efforts in abuse prevention, helping our communities respect and protect the value of each person. It is important for us to understand this topic that affects so many people and our congregational life. Abuse is NOT OK, but talking about abuse IS OK and can lead to better prevention and a better response. www.crcna.org/SafeChurch In September we contributed $432.17

At WECRC we believe Christians are called to be generous with the resources God has entrusted to us. We are inspired to give freely of ourselves, our time, our talents and our treasures as the visible expression of our love for God and each other.
