On Saturday morning 17 June, 31 volunteers from West End, adults and children, spent two hours planting and watering 95 fruit trees in the McKinnon ravine near our church building, between 142nd and 148th street. The City of Edmonton provided both the shrubs and the necessary equipment as part of its Roots for Trees program. Afterwards everyone gathered at church for refreshments.
