New & Retiring Office Bearers

Council is pleased to inform the congregation that all the new elder and deacon nominees were overwhelmingly approved by the congregation in the recent election. Our new members of Council will be pastoral elders Alvin Grenke (FG7), Jeff Miller (FG9), Jane Schreiber (FG3) and John Taekema (FG6); deacons Jeff DeVries (FG5), Ben Lindemulder (FG8), Evan Lock (FG4) and Aileen Mast (FG9); and administrative (ministry) elders Darren Sinke, Carol Slomp and Crystal Vanderschaaf. A special note of thanks to our retiring council members: pastoral elders Adrian & Carolyn Aarnoutse (FG3), Henry Koopmans (FG6), Mathew & Margaret Schoonderwoerd (FG7), and Ger Vander Meulen (FG9); deacons Tim Pasma (FG5), David Voogd (FG8), and Graeme Vriend (FG4); and administrative (ministry) elders Bert Kamphius, Jo Van Berkel and Rosa Zee. Fran Aarnoutse is extending her term for one year to serve as a stewardship deacon. Although this year’s nomination process was more challenging under our current circumstances, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness in providing a full West End CRC council for the coming new season. The installation service for our new office bearers was held on Sunday August 30, 2020.
