On July 12 and 13, 2018 38 people boarded the coach for an overnight trip to Drumheller, Alberta. Our first stop was a Hutterite Colony near Clive. On our way there Matt Schoonderwoerd presented a historical perspective of the Hutterite community and his experience in working with them. We were graciously greeted by the manager, the children and the women of the colony. After being treated to a tour of their operations, a song in their church and coffee and cupcakes in the dining hall we proceeded to our next destination – the ghost-town of Wayne. Here we enjoyed a steak supper at the Last Chance Saloon. We overnighted in Drumheller and the following morning drove to the hamlet of Rosebud. After a buffet dinner at the Rosebud Centre of the Arts, we enjoyed the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”.
